Dr. Michel Boehms - picture

Michel Böhms was born in The Hague (NL) in 1965.
He studied computer science from 1983 to 1987 at Delft University of Technology, specializing in artificial intelligence and expert systems.
After graduation he started a dissertation research at TNO from 1987 to 1991 in "Computer Integrated Manufacturing" (CIM).

After completion of his thesis he worked in various National and European projects dealing with computer software systems development and integration (ESPRIT IMPPACT, ATLAS, GEM, VEGA, HBG Half-Time, Brite-Euram CONCUR and currently IST eConstruct).

Current topics of interest and expertise include ISO STEP, IAI IFC, Next Generation Internet / XML, conceptual modelling and eCommerce & eBusiness for Building and Construction.
Typical roles in projects include: technical manager, facilitator & conceptual modeller.
